Waterfall and Swimming Hole Experience

Ladies Well - The most popular swimmming hole in the Barrington Tops foothills is Ladies Well, a deep pool on the Allyn River. Basking on the warm rocks or swimming in the cool waters, its popularity is well deserved and known by locals and visitors alike.

Dundungra Falls - The walking trail to the falls leads off from Wangat Road. The short but difficult trail goes to the base of Dundungra Falls, a sheer 34 metre waterfall on Hotel Creek. Stand on the valley floor in sub-tropical rainforest to enjoy the display. Hard Walking trail - suitable only for people with a good level of fitness, contains steep grades and rough sections of track

These falls are currently not sign posted - hard to find, and grass is over grown, please check back with us when they are open again.

Telegherry Forest Park - On the way to Telegherry Forest Park you will find a small, open air museum of old logging machinery. This is an excellent reminder of how logging equipment and practices have advanced over time. Telegherry Forest Park contains separate picnic and camping areas beside the river. There are a number of short walking trails leading into the surrounding forest and a creek that's popular for swimming or li-loing on.

Frying Pan Creek and Coachwood Forest Park - Another picturesque and very popular camping and picnic area on the banks of the fast flowing Telegherry River is Frying Pan Creek. Frying Pan is well liked by trail bike riders – click here for guidelines.

On the opposite bank is the Coachwood Camping Area. The two kilometre (return) walking trail to Problem Creek Falls starts at the downstream end of the Coachwood Camping area. This spot is popular with family groups and those wishing to enjoy river-based activities.
